F280-12 Software Verified according to the procedure set out in F280-12, Section 8.

The following Software has been verified by HVAC Designers of Canada as meeting the requirements of section 8 of CSA F280-12 “Determining the required capacity of residential space heating and cooling appliances”. Using Verified Software gives both the HVAC designer and those who rely on the outputs from the Software (eg house designers, HVAC contractors, owners, building officials) confidence that the Software itself is capable of generating the correct results. Verification does not ensure that user errors will be prevented, nor does it evaluate the usability of the Software.

*Note that F280 does not require that every conceivable aspect of performing a heat loss or gain calculation has been verified, instead it covers the most critical elements, as well as some permutations intended to verify that some aspects behave predictably. HVAC designers with recognized credentials using verified Software are the best way of ensuring that heat loss and gain calculations are accurate for the intended use.
